This policy explains which cookies the Scoop platform uses and why. The first time you visit the platform, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device so the site can remember your preferences and your login status.
2. Essential cookies
Login/session cookies — keep you logged in on the platform (Supabase authentication service). Without these, the account, posting listings, and payments do not work.
Language-preference cookie — remembers which language you view the platform in.
Cookie-consent cookie — remembers your choice for this banner so we don't ask the same question again on every visit.
These cookies are essential for the platform to function and do not require separate consent.
3. Third-party cookies
We currently do not use analytics or advertising cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel). If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and request separate consent where required.
Stripe, which handles payments, may use its own security-related cookies at the time of payment, in accordance with Stripe's own privacy and cookie policy.
4. Managing cookies
You can manage or delete most cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent normal use of the platform (e.g. logging in).
